Activity 3 - What jobs are these ads describing?
Here are five job ads, however the skills required are not what
you usually find, but they are what is needed for that job. See
if you can guess what job they describe.
Advertisement 1
Must be good with their hands, good at communicating, flexible and
friendly. Being good with people is essential and able to work in
confined spaces. Excellent rates of pay, flexible working patterns
and great opportunities for training.
Advertisement 2
Skills needed are patience, creativity and a sense of fun. You should
be a good listener. A very rewarding career is waiting for you.
Advertisement 3
Should be a good problem solver, a team player able to work with
lots of different staff and customers. Technical experience NOT
essential.
Advertisement 4
We need someone who is careful, methodical and who has good planning
skills, with the ability to carry out a variety of tasks quickly.
Someone who works well in a team with practical ability and common
sense.
Advertisement 5
We need someone who can think creatively, be practical and be methodical.
Good leadership qualities are desirable and adaptability is essential.
Maths and science skills desirable.
